Karratha Western Australia The scenery in outback WA is Beautiful and at times stark. Open landscapes and burnt skies. Karratha is in the north of the Pilbara region. There is a lot of iron ore mined in the Pilbara. The ore is a deep red colour, you can see it in the dirt. The dirt gets in everywhere and stains everything. Freshly laid concrete is grey but after a while the iron dust stains it reddish. The rain doesn't wash it off, but it's not a bad colour.

Anantara Si Khao

The view from one of the swimming pools at Anantara Si Khao resort in Trang province Thailand. Such a beautiful place! Our room had a sea view which was similar to this. Lots of things to do and a 3 restaurants to eat at. Good food and an awesome breakfast buffet!
