Karratha Western Australia
The scenery in outback WA is Beautiful and at times stark. Open landscapes and burnt skies. Karratha is in the north of the Pilbara region. There is a lot of iron ore mined in the Pilbara. The ore is a deep red colour, you can see it in the dirt.
The dirt gets in everywhere and stains everything. Freshly laid concrete is grey but after a while the iron dust stains it reddish. The rain doesn't wash it off, but it's not a bad colour.
